Free Workshop on on GIS in the Humanities
University of Leicester, UK.
Wednesday 16th December, 2009

his free workshop, sponsored by Spatial Literacy in Teaching (SPLINT) and the Subject Centre for History, Classics and Archaeology, will provide a basic introduction to GIS as an approach to humanities research and as a technology. Places are limited and the deadline for registration is 3rd December 2009.

Spatial concepts the focus of Teachspatial.org

Teachspatial.org is a collaborative web site devoted to providing resources that promote applications of spatial concepts and spatial tools in teaching and learning. The site enumerates and defines core concepts of spatial thinking, presents schemas that interpret, synthesize, and model aspects of spatial thinking, and provides an archive of user-contributed resources for teaching and learning.
